Our Services

HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. It is often acquired sexually, but can also be transmitted from mother to baby, and by sharing IV drug needles.

Viral Hepatitis

Hepatitis C is a virus that is acquired by IV drug use, blood transfusion before 1992, and rarely sexually. After laying dormant for a few decades, it slowly attacks your liver.

Bone and Joint Infections

Doctors like to describe how severe an ulcer or wound is by how deep it goes. If it is just skin deep, we call it cellulitis. If it goes deeper in to the fat layer and muscles, we call it myositis.

Mycobacterial diseases

Tuberculosis is a bacterium that is acquired by breathing in air that was coughed in to by an infected person. When you are infected, your body’s immune system will try to fight it off.

Diarrheal Illnesses

Your intestines are coated with ‘good’ bacteria that allow us to break down fruits and vegetables.

Urinary Tract Infections

Recurrent urinary tract infections can lead to multi-drug resistant bacteria that can be difficult to treat.

Soft Tissue Infections

We all have bacteria on the surface of our skin, we are not as clean as we like to think!

Fungal Infections

Not just bacteria and viruses cause infection. Fungus can too! Fungus likes to grow in warm moist environments.
