Our Infusion Center
Patients may need to have an IV called a PICC line placed so that they can receive IV antibiotics to cure their infection. Common infections that require IV antibiotics include bone and joint infections. This allows patients to avoid inpatient hospitalization.
All of our outpatient locations have an in-house infusion center where you will be educated on how to care for your PICC line and have your labs checked at least once a week to monitor your infection, electrolytes, and antibiotic levels.
Many patients choose to have our infusion nurse administer their antibiotic each day, others prefer to learn how to do it themselves and administer their antibiotic at home.
